Violette Coquette is an international burlesque performer based out of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. “The Untouchable Tease”, Violette evokes Golden Age glamour, and is known for her grace, musicality and contagious delight.
Prior to burlesque, Violette trained and competed as a latin ballroom and salsa dancer, and was ranked in the top 3 competitive Amateur On-2 salsa dancers in North America for 2015, 2016, 2017. Violette started as a chorus dancer with Edmonton’s Rockette-style Capital City Burlesque troupe before departing to start her career as a solo burlesque artist in 2015. Violette regularly performs with theatre company Send in the Girls Burlesque, including their productions of "Shakespeare's Sirens" (nominated for two Sterling awards in 2017) and "With Glowing Hearts" (nominated for a Sterling award in 2018). Violette has performed across the world, including MELT Club in Stockholm, the 2018 New Orleans Burlesque Festival, the 2017 London Burlesque Festival, 2018 Texas Burlesque Festival, 2018 Oregon Burlesque Festival, and in 2018 she performed with House of Hush at the Burlesque Hall of Fame’s "Movers, Shakers and Innovators" Showcase in Las Vegas. She is the co-founder of House of Hush Burlesque and The Canary Room.
